The Museums and the Web 2000 program opened with a plenary session. On Monday, three concurrent tracks featured in-house impacts of the web, e-commerce and museum-school collaboration. On Tuesday, birds-of-a-feather continental breakfast meetings were followed by tracks on evaluation and design. On Wednesday two demonstration sessions, with dozens of demonstrations each, ran concurrently with mini-workshops on tools and techniques and a "Crit Room" where web designers subject their work to peer review. All these sessions were structured to allow attendees to participate. A closing plenary wrapped the meeting.

Papers presented at MW2000 were published in conference Proceedings distributed to all attendees at registration, thanks to our sponsor, bigchalk.com.
