Jill FruchterCoordinator of Education Technology Jill Fruchter is an independent education technology consultant. As a project manager, content developer and evaluator, she works with cultural and education research organizations to make museum and library collections more accessible to children, their families and educators through digital media. Jill is an advocate of user-centered design, emphasizing the integration of end-user research and testing throughout the development processfrom concept to implementation. Most recently, Jill has worked on the following web sites: Collections Central Online (http://www.brooklynkids.org/emuseum) produced by the Brooklyn Children's Museum; Brooklyn Expedition (http://www.brooklynexpedition.org) produced by Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Public Library, Brooklyn Children's Museum; and "Picturing Modern America" (http://www.edc.org/CCT/PMA) produced by Center for Children & Technology. Jill has a Masters degree in Library and Information Science. Jill will demonstrate Bringing Collections On-line for Children: Using Front-End Research to Develop an Interface. |
