Barbara is the Director of the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, Department of Archaeology & First Nations Studies, Simon Fraser University, teaching upper level undergraduate courses in museology and archaeology. She has a Masters degree in Anthropology (Carleton) and a Ph.D. in archaeology (Simon Fraser). Prior to coming to SFU in 1990, she worked with the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Center in Yellowknife, the Canadian Museum of Civilization and the UBC Museum of Anthropology in Vancouver.
