Mark HookWeb Production Manager Mark Hook has worked at the Victoria and Albert Museum since 1983, moving from Information Systems to the Web Team 6 years ago, when a rethink of the Web site led the museum to increase content and clarify the style and presentation. That revised site launched in 2001. As the content grew a more radical re-structuring of the Web site became necessary and Mark and his colleagues worked on devising a new more open structure, with plainer language and navigation terms, applying a new design and then building the new site prior to its re-launch in August 2004. Mark continues to work on projects to increase the range and depth of material on the site. Mark will demonstrate Revealing Hidden Content: How the V&A website has been transformed to help our visitors find what they want. |
