John Fillwalk is the director of the Institute for Digital Intermedia Arts at Ball State University - an interdisciplinary and collaborative hybrid reality design studio - producing innovative emerging artforms. He is also an intermedia artist and associate professor of Electronic Art where he works and mentors in media including video, installation, virtual reality and interactive art. He received his MFA from the University of Iowa in Intermedia and Video Art in 1990, and has since received numerous grants, awards, commissions and fellowships. His video and interactive collaborative works have been exhibited internationally at numerous festivals, galleries and museums.
