David Torgersen has created many interactive audio experiences for audiences. From the late 80’s to the early 2000’s he was the Senior Sound Designer for Antenna Theater, where he helped create many original audio-guided theatrical adventures, leading people through custom mazes, public buildings, beaches, woods and the dump. During that time, he helped build the theater’s spin-off company, Antenna Audio. He was active in its growth from producing a small handful of projects a year, to becoming a global leader in the audio interpretation field. Throughout his years with Antenna Audio he produced over 300 audio tours for museums and historic sites throughout the world. He currently is the Audio & Sound Developer for the Exploratorium in San Francisco. He was one of the principal exhibit developers of the new NSF funded ‘LISTEN’ collection, helping develop 50 sound based science exhibits.
