Maxwell L. Anderson joined the Art Gallery of Ontario as its fourth director in September 1995. Mr. Anderson previously directed the Michael C. Carlos Museum at Emory University in Atlanta for eight years, and prior to that was Assistant Curator of Greek and Roman Art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, after earning a Ph.D. in Fine Arts from Harvard University. Serving as Liaison for Information Technology for the Association of Art Museum Directors, Anderson recently completed the introduction to The Wired Museum, published by the American Association of Museums (in press). He sits on the Visiting Committee of the Getty Information Institute and is a Trustee of The American Federation of Arts.
