Educated as an art historian at Oberlin College and Harvard University, Peter Walsh has held positions at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, the Harvard Museums of Cultural and Natural History, the Fogg Art Museum, the Busch-Reisinger Museum, the Arnold Arboretum, the Boston Zoological Society, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, with such titles as director of museum education, director of exhibitions, director of publications, director of information, and consultant. He is currently director of information and institutional relations at the Davis Museum and Cultural Center, Wellesley College, and chairman of the Massachusetts Art Commission. He is also a book critic for the Boston Phoenix and writes frequently on issues in the arts.
