Kimberly Barata recently joined Archives & Museum Informatics in June 1997 representing A&MI in its UK consulting work in records management and electronic archives. Prior to joining A&MI, she was the project coordinator and administrator for the University of Pittsburgh School of Information Sciences' Center for Electronic Recordkeeping and Archival Research. Kimberly completed both a Masters in Library and Information Science specializing in archives and preservation administration and a Certificate of Advanced Study focusing on the area of electronic archives and information science at the University of Pittsburgh. During that time, she worked with the Consultant, Principal Investigators, and Project Coordinator in the latter end of the NHPRC funded Functional Requirements for Evidence in Recordkeeping project, primarily assisting in the synthesis and preparation of project results, re-drafting the Metadata Specifications for the Business Acceptable Communications Model, and the on-going compilation of the annotated Bibliography on Electronic Records (http://www.sis.pitt.edu/~nhprc/bibtc.html). Her recent work involves working with David Bearman to develop a matrix approach for implementing the Functional Requirements.
