Session: Demo Session 2

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum recently created a Web version of its kiosk-based "Learning Center." The site includes 140 short articles, 41 artifact images, 103 video clips, 202 maps, 28 chronologies, and over 900 photos organized by topics, such as "Antisemitism," "Final Solution," "America and the Holocaust," "Jewish Resistance," and "Forced Labor," among others. In this demonstration, we will discuss the technical and logistical triumphs and pitfalls of the move from kiosk to Web. Furthermore, we will elucidate the origins of the project, the rational of content development team, and plans for the future.
