Session: Demo Sessions 1

The Lyle & Aileen Woodcock Museum, a purely digital museum, serves as a catalyst for cultural, artistic and educational collaborations in the St. Louis region by using the power and flexibility of the Internet to share information. The Museum was designed to display a private collection of American art. Like traditional bricks-and-mortar museums, the Woodcock Museum has a permanent collection, hosts special exhibits and provides educational resources, including online lesson plans, for teachers and students. Interactive elements of the Museum include a timeline that helps visitors put the art they see into historical context, and a special section called “St. Louis Centerpoint,” which serves as a portal to St. Louis cultural resources and highlights current happenings in the area.
