Session: Demo Sessions 1

We will explore the benefits of Resource Description Framework (RDF), a system for metadata and semi-automated text categorization using machine learning, for the World Art Treasures site. We are developing the concept of collaborative filtering (CF), that allows us to fetch information about information (metadata). From a theme starting on our site, we select from the Internet a certain amount of websites that correspond to the interests of the user. Unlike the process of "word of mouth", where the user still has to choose the information he needs within the website, we locate, retrieve, and propose several reliable pages within the websites. Then the web addresses are classified in the correct section of the path according to the level of relevance. From this first selection we define a training set for an intelligent agent. This agent browses several relevant fine arts sites and constantly updates the references.
