Web writer and producer for four years. Was founding Nature and Science editor of the Discovery Channel Online in 1995. Received PhD in Science and Technology Studies from Cornell University in 1995. Dissertation examined changing strategies of representation in exhibits at the Smithsonian Institution, Denver Museum of Natural History, and the American Museum of Natural History. SI Predoctoral Fellow 1994. Published "Making nature 'real' again: natural history exhibits and public rhetorics of science at the Smithsonian Institution in the early 1960s" in _The Politics of Display_, (ed. Sharon Macdonald, Routledge: 1998).
