Alice Kamps Curtin
Alice Kamps Curtin has worked in museum education for the past 11 years. She initiated the Artabounds studio art program for Chicago Children's Museum when the museum relocated to its permanent home on Navy Pier. Since then, she has overseen the development of numerous programs for the museum's educator, school, family and community audiences in visual art, music, drama and dance. Fascinated by the web and new technology, she spends much of her time dreaming up new educational applications for the web. She is presently developing a new permanent exhibit and website for Chicago Children's Museum with Nearlife, an MIT spinoff. Prior to working for Chicago Children's Museum, Ms. Curtin was a teaching artist with A.R.T., an organization that provides free visual arts programs to Chicago Public Schools. She earned a Master's Degree in Art Therapy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a B.A. in painting from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
