Claudio Pinhanez recently got his Ph.D. from the MIT Media Laboratory, working on the design and construction of physically interactive environments and in computer theater. He also researched new paradigms for computational representation of human action and scripting of interactive stories, using Allen's interval algebra as the underlying representational structure. He is currently working at IBM TJ Watson Research Center on web-based cultural and entertainment experiences and on physical interfaces to information.

Claudio will present Less Clicking, More Watching: Results from the User-Centered Design of a Multi-Institutional Web Site for Art and Culture
