David Rumsey
David Rumsey lives and works in San Francisco, California. He was educated as an artist at Yale, and taught art at Yale and California Institute of the Arts. After working at an arts foundation, he entered real estate development and finance, founding two prominent real estate companies in San Francisco. He retired from real estate in 1995 and founded Cartography Associates, beginning a third career as a digital publisher, web site creator, and software entrepreneur.
