Lawrence Monda is a graduate of Economics from Agra University, India, and holds a Diploma in Computer Programming a Certificate in Advanced Internet & Web Design from Kenyatta University's 'African Virtual University' - a World bank-funded project and an Advanced certficate in IT Consulting from Berlin, Germany

Since joining the National Museums of Kenya (NMK) in Nairobi in 1996 as a Programmer/Systems Analyst in the Computer Services Department, he has been actively involved in computer systems analysis.

He was one of the three museum staff members who initiated and developed the NMK web site, and is involved in its daily maintenance and development. Since joining the NMK's Internet/Multimedia Working Group, he has been engaged in multimedia work for various museum projects, and lately has been working to design a cultural database through an interactive CDROM.
