Bradley Taylor
Bradley L. Taylor is a doctoral candidate at the University of Michigan School of Information where he is a student of Professors Karen M. Drabenstott (Chair), Margaret Hedstrom, and Dean C. Olivia Frost. In addition, Professor Emerita Diane Kirkpatrick, Interim Chair of the Department of the History of Art at the University of Michigan has mentored Taylor's work on this and other studies for over twenty years. In addition to academic degrees in museum practice and library and information studies from the University of Michigan, Taylor has worked in the scholarly publishing field for over 15 years, collaborating on the publication of dozens of works in the fine arts and material culture studies as Managing Editor of UMI Research Press in Ann Arbor, Michigan. His research on images has been published in Information Retrieval, the VRA Bulletin and Art Documentation, where his work was awarded the Gerd Muehsam Award by the Art Libraries Society of North America. His doctoral work on the Toledo Picture Study¾which has recently been recognized with awards from the American Society for Information Science & Technology and the Association of Library Science Educators¾is expected to be completed in early 2001.
