Kimberly Freeman is the Website Architect for the Silk Road Project (www.silkroadproject.org), a not-for-profit music and cultural heritage organization founded by cellist Yo-Yo Ma. She is responsible for representing the Project online in all its manifestations: a travelling music ensemble, extensive educational materials, and multimedia exhibitions. With a Masters in performance and music theory (B.M./M.M., Drake University, 1992), her Web work has focused on the arts and culture including creating the initial online presences for CultureFinder (www.culturefinder.com), a performing arts database, and the classical record label Sony Classical (www.sonyclassical.com), where she managed sites for many classical artists.
