William (Bill) Wright is a graduate of Hofstra University in New York, where he majored in English and Communications. He began his career, in 1985, at The Museum of Natural History in New York City, and then moved to the entertainment industry, where he worked for ten years in publicity and media relations at HBO, Nickelodeon, and Scholastic. It was while working at Scholastic, in 1996, that Bill first got involved with the Internet. As part of a unique marketing campaign at the time, he built a Web site for the book series Animorphs and launched it the same day the first books hit the stores. This successful effort led to Bill's crossing over to Web work full-time, and, between 1996 and 2000, he established a Web presence for hundreds of books, including the very first Harry Potter Web site. After moving back to Massachusetts, where he grew up, Bill worked briefly for an e-learning solutions company, before he was hired to manage all Web efforts for the new Mary Baker Eddy Library in Boston, which opened September 29, 2002.
