Agronomist graduated from the University of Guadalajara (1988). She pursued graduate education for her masters in Environment and Integrated Development (1995-1997) She has worked in projects related to natural protected areas and their conservation,as well as urban parks and environmental education. Currently she is a professor in the Department of Geography and Land Management in the University Center for Social Sciences and Humanities, in the University of Guadalajara. Her research areas are in environment and natural resources conservation.
