The virtual museum thecrystalweb.com combines a continously amplyfied archive on the internet with a innovative type of navigation. The concept of LIQUID Infospace - developed by Karl Scherer - can be described as a "multi-dimensional data space" and provides a navigation software which allows to meet the demand for "playful learning" without any loss of complexity.

This interdisciplinary and international research project was launched by the Polygon society to constitute a non-profit educational project with its central reference point being "the crystalline" - a phenomenon which inspired almost all cultures to conceive projections of systems of meaning.
