Simon Pickford Simon is originally from the UK. He graduated from Leicester University with an honours degree in Biology and Psychology in 1988. After several years as a Commissioning Editor with Elsevier Science Publishers in London, Simon undertook a Masters Degree in Interactive Design at Middlesex University. He started his own multimedia design company on graduation, winning several awards for projects in the community/heritage/environmental education area. After moving to New Zealand, Simon worked as a software project manager for an number of years before moving to New Plymouth to take up the position as coordinator of the Taranaki Information Network (TIN). TIN is a groundbreaking project which provides Taranaki schools with free, broadband PCs which access history, heritage and education resources on www.pukeariki.com.
