Jonathan Pratty Jon Pratty graduated in Fine Art,1983 from Exeter College of Art and Design, Exeter, Devon. Member of critically-acclaimed Red Herring Artists Collective in Brighton, member of the Faculty of Urban Studies at the University of Brighton,1983. Bursary winner, Photographer's Trust Fund, 1987 for research Victorian Photographer A.L. Henderson. Curated series of exhibitions of Henderson's work in the South of England. Following two years post-grad study, established as a technology writer in the late 90's, writing features, news and analysis for the UK Daily Telegraph's Connected section, then later for the Sunday Times' Doors section. JP continues to write for VNUnet.com,Computer Weekly, The British Council, Sunday Times and many other top UK publications. Jan 2001 first inhouse Editor of 24 Hour Museum, with director Jane Finnis building the site up into the leading UK museum and gallery sector portal. JP has spoken at many key cultural web sector conferences including CULT 2001 in Copenhagen, ('Communications with nobody: is anybody out there?'http://cult.kulturnet.dk/pt3.htm) MDA conference 2002 and many others. JP has organised, and is speaking at, Measuring Success on the Web - Museums Association Conference 2003, Brighton, October 7, 2003. JP then worked in design consultancies in London as a communications specialist and photographer. After retraining as a journalist he worked regularly for the Telegraph and Sunday Times writing features and news about subjects as diverse as technology, the net and culture.
