100 Catalogues On-line or How I Spent My Summer VacationStephen Topfer, Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, Canada Demonstration: Demonstrations - Session 1 In the summer of 2004 the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria set out to make more than fifty years of published Art Gallery catalogues available on-line. While we haven't got them all there yet we are off to a good start with the scanned text of nearly 100 catalogues available to researchers, students, collectors and the curious. They are searchable by keyword, Region or style and if the user is so inspired can be purchased through our gift shop. This effectively makes years of Gallery research available to the world at large in a relevant and meaningful manner. |
