Marcus WeisenDisability Development Officer Marcus Weisen worked as Arts Officer and Head of Lesiure Policy for the Royal National Institute for the Blind (UK) for 14 years. He was involved in a number of strategic cultural access projects and policy initiatives for visually impaired people, e.g. audio description in museums, theatres and on TV. He initiated a range of national and international access initiatives, including the cultural tourism project "European Cities within Reach" and "Tactimages" (training programme for the design of tactile images with a cultural purpose). He was a founder member of the European Committe for Creativity with and by Disabled Persons and initiated the "Barrier-free" magazine of MAGDA, the Museums and Galleries Disability Association (UK). In February 2002, he became the first Disability Development Officer for Resource, the Council for Museums, Archives and Libraries (England).
