Paula SinceroPrincipal Paula Sincero, principal of InquiryLearn, has more than 12 years experience developing award-winning print and on-line curricula and multimedia interactives for K-12 educational publishers, museums, zoos, and interactive television. She connects ideas for exhibits with the national learning standards through interactive media and content-rich games and curriculum activities via the Web. Paula was lead developer for Conservation Central, the multiple-award-winning online habitat conservation education program for the Smithsonian's National Zoo (winner "Best Museum Website," Museums and the Web 2004). Paula specializes in science and social studies integration through action-oriented, inquiry and project-based learning that motivates people to make simple, positive changes in their daily lives. Other recognition for her work includes two regional Emmy® nominations for a social justice website and television series, and several United States Distance Learning Association and Global Information Infrastructure awards for her work in youth violence prevention through Peace It Together, an online community center and interactive television series. In developing exhibits, she asks: How can we sustain visitors' enthusiasm so they take concrete, positive action in their daily lives? Paula will present Using Museum Web Sites to Change Visitors' Real-World Behaviour. |
