Kirsten StiehmMultimedia Specialist Kirsten Stiehm is the Multimedia Specialist at the University of Alaska Museum of the North. As such, she develops, designs, and art directs interactive programs and websites for the museum's exhibits and education initiatives. These programs serve audiences ranging from schoolchildren in rural Alaska to international museum visitors and are accessed through a variety of platforms, including the Internet, CD-ROM and portable handheld computers. Ms. Stiehm also contributes professional experience in interface design, programming, and production for new media, as well as independent experience with newspaper writing and editing. She will receive her BA in journalism with an emphasis in multimedia publishing in 2005. Kirsten will demonstrate MoliNet: Museum and Library Objects in the Classroom. |
