Maggie KilianYouth Education Coordinator The Field Trip Fair Planning Committee consists of Krista Tulloch, Jamie Purves, Lisa McIntosh, and Maggie Kilian. We are four volunteers based in Vancouver, B.C. who combine expertise in the school system with experience in community-based education. Krista is a classroom elementary school teacher, Jamie and Lisa are museum educators, and Maggie is a botanical garden educator. We all share a passion for providing opportunities for kids to learn in community settings like museums. The website we developed provides teachers with a user-friendly resource which allows them to plan trips for their students to museums. It also provides museums of any size with a place to let teachers and kids know about their programs. Maggie will demonstrate www.bcfieldtrips.ca - An On-line Database of Fieldtrip Opportunities. |
