Dr Tilly Blyth is Curator of Computing at the Science Museum. As well as caring for the museum's computing collections and writing about the history of computing, she is Executive Editor of the museum's recently launched Making the Modern World Web site. The site looks at stories of technological invention from the eighteenth century to the present day and examines their effect on all our lives. Following a degree in Physics and a MSc in the History of Science and Technology, Tilly's doctoral research looked at the social construction of the Internet and on-line gaming. Tilly has also worked in television, on the BBC 2 series about technology and culture, The Net, and the Channel 4 series about socio-technical visions of the future, Things to Come. Previously Tilly worked as Executive Producer of Fathom, the on-line learning consortium between Columbia University, LSE, British Library, British Museum, NHM, V&A and Cambridge University Press. She was also Broadband Development Manager for one of the UK's leading digital educational content developers, Illumina Digital. Currently Tilly is External Examiner for Ultraversity, the on-line degree programme offered by Ultralab for the many people that current university provision doesn't suit. She is also a judge for the BAFTA Interactive Entertainment awards.

Tilly will present Curating for Broadband.
