Michelle LaMarSoftware Engineering Manager Michelle LaMar oversees the development of software at the California State University Center for Distributed Learning. This includes instructional software, which CDL builds in collaboration with CSU faculty, and software tools used to support other projects within the CDL. Michelle brings eleven years of software engineering experience to this position. She graduated from the University of Chicago in 1988 with a double major in Philosophy and Physics. After two years in West Africa with the Peace Corps, she worked in information retrieval for 6 years before choosing to focus her career on educational software. She has been with the CDL since 1997. Michelle will present Architecting the Elephant: Software Architecture and User Interface Design for Pachyderm 2.0. |
