Brad LarsonPrincipal Brad Larson has been developing interactive media for family audiences in museums for more than 15 years. Before starting his own business, Brad Larson Media, Inc., he was the Technology Developer at The Children's Museum in Boston for ten years, where he focused on technology applications that promote family learning. He received his EdM in the Interactive Technologies in Education program at Harvard Graduate School of Education, including a year-long work/study program at the MIT Media Lab. He has contributed to the field over the last 15 years with presentations at AAM, ASTC, and AYM/ACM, and wrote the section on incorporating technologies in exhibits for the Association of Youth Museum's (AYM/ACM) guidebook on starting a new museum, Collective Vision. Installations include projects for Smithsonian's National Zoo, American Museum of Natural History, American Visionary Art Museum, and children's museums across the U.S., where he has focused in particular on development of technologies to facilitate adding visitors' stories and comments to exhibits. Brad will present Using Museum Web Sites to Change Visitors' Real-World Behaviour. |
