Santa Fe Mercado

New Mexico CultureNet, developer of the Santa Fe Arts & Culture Portal (www.santafeculture.org) , is building the Santa Fe Mercado, an online marketplace with multiple "stores" anchored by the Museum of New Mexico Foundation Store & Shops. The Mercado will present an opportunity for different cultural organizations to promote and sell the works of local artists and artisans as well as those from many places. Organizations, businesses and museums will be invited to have "stores" in the Mercado. Artists and artisans also will be able to have a presence on the Mercado and sell their work . The Mercado will be branded by unifying themes such as "New Mexico Creates" and "Buy Local!" The Mercado models inclusiveness, while at the same time, promotes authentic works of crafts and art.
