Susannah McGowan works as senior instructional designer at the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship at Georgetown University. She consults regularly with faculty about course design, implementation of technology in the classroom, and assessment strategies. She is also education manager of three external initiatives in the scholarship of teaching and learning: the FIPSE Crossroads Online Institute, the Visible Knowledge Project, and the JesuitNet Online Faculty Development Workshops. She received a BA in Art History and French from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a M.Ed. in Instructional Technology from the University of Virginia.
