Pam Johnson is a tenured Professor and Department Chair in the Applied Art and Design Department at Sierra College in Rocklin, California. Pam studied Fine Art, receiving both BA and MA degrees from the University of California, Davis. As a painter she exhibited extensively in Sacramento, as well as having shows in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Pam was a leader in developing the Applied Arts and Design Department at Sierra College and teaches a wide variety of courses, including digital painting, multimedia, and animation color theory courses. Pam founded the annual Sierra College Animation Festival; was the Design Coordinator for the award-winning Standing Guard Project, a multimedia program examining the internment of Japanese-Americans during World War II; and is a founding member and Design and Production Co-Coordinator of the Sierra Nevada Virtual Museum
