In October 2008 the Wexner Center for the Arts redesigned the front page of the website as well as the navigation. A new focus of the navigation was to direct link to social media sites like Facebook and Flickr, and a new consistent sidebar was added to all pages to highlight the ever changing blog content and new features.
Another aspect of the website we've been working a lot on lately is linking relevant content to all of our events. As Columbus Ohio's local media continues to shift focus away from the arts, we've started to show our users reviews and articles from other states to help gain better understanding of our events. For example: if an exhibition has already been shown in another city, we'll link to those articles.
We've also begun to create our own trailers for events and exhibitions, as well as increase our use of video interviews, photos, and more.
