Carl Goodman is Senior Deputy Director of the Museum of the Moving Image, where he supervises the Museum’s use and study of digital media and oversees its programming, education, and collections initiatives. Goodman serves as Principal Investigator of CollectionSpace, a multi-institutional collaboration devoted to the development of open source collections infomration and management software. As Curator, and then Director, of Digital Media, he has organized many digital media exhibitions for the Museum including Computer Space, a history of video games, <ALT> DigitalMedia, a gallery of software-based art, and Interactions/Art & Technology, devoted to the field of media research. Goodman oversees the Museum 92s online projects, including Moving Image Source, a multimedia publication devoted to the art and history of film, television, and digital media; and The Living Room Candidate, an online exhibition and archive devoted to the 56-year history of presidential campaign television commercials.
