The Science Learning Network is an innovative partnership between six eading science centers in an effort to extend the museumsí resources over the Internet to reach students and teachers. SLN was one of the first projects to help teachers access museum resources online and integrate them into innovative teaching practice. Our web site is a launching pad to activities, demonstrations, current news and information featured by museums across the US; teachers get lesson ideas and quality background information on challenging science topics, while students can check out a scanning electron microscope, meet a windmill maker, or wince at a dissected cow eye. The site provides a bridge between online information and off-line experiences.
