Best Research Site
Any web site that provides excellent research information
in any discipline. This category can be distinguished from an educational
site in the level of depth of information presented and perhaps
a less structured learning process where multiple outcomes are possible.
Individual judgments as to the value of data retrieved are crucial.
Important features are:
- Good search engines
- Presentation of retrieval data
- Ability to manipulate retrieval data
- Metadata
- Inter-operability.
Nominations Received
People around the world nominated their favorite sites.
The assembled list illustrates a wide range of creative
museum uses of the web.
The Results?
Winners were announced
at the opening reception on April 24, 1998.
