Amy Kazee

Dept. of Education, JB Speed Art Museum, USA

Amy Kazee (MA in Art History, University of Louisville, KY) has been working with the Speed Art Museum in Louisville Kentucky on the development of an Art Learning Center as part of a major Museum-wide renovation. The Art Learning Center includes an Interactive Gallery, ArtSparks, as well as a Media Resource Center. Her interest in technology led her to pilot the Museum's first web site and introduce technology into the Museum's galleries. She became interested in Slavojub Milekic's work on KiddyFace at last year's Museums and the Web conference and began a dialogue with him shortly thereafter. Her desire is to create effective use of the Internet by Museums to promote art education for use in schools and by the community.

Amy will co-present Museums and WWW-based Art Education.
