Emil Krén

Senior Researcher, KFKI Computer Systems Corp.

Born in 1935 at Budapest, Hungary, Dr. Emil Krén received a diploma in chemistry at the Roland Eötvös Science University in Budapest, and Ph. D. in physics at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Employed by the Central Research Institute for Physics (CRIP) in Budapest he made research in magnetism in 1958-1975 and published 56 papers. From 1975 to 1992 he was involved in the management of CRIP, a complex research center, from 1984 to 1992 as general manager. Since 1992 he is working in the field of information technology with special attention to Internet technologies and the problems of cultural content on the Internet.

Emil will co-present A Virtual Fine Arts Museum on the Web.
