Lawrence Mirsky

Director, The Herb Lubalin Study Center of Design and Typography, The Cooper Union

Lawrence Mirsky is the director of The Herb Lubalin Study Center of Design and Typography, a division of the School of Art at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. Mr. Mirsky is the project developer and director of the National Graphic Design Image Database at Cooper Union. Under his direction the Lubalin Study Center has received funding from the National Endowment for the Arts to develop the Image Database and publish monographs related to design history and theory.

He has written articles for journals published by the American Institute of Graphic Arts, The American Center for Design and The Getty Information Institute.

Lawrence will present Designing Collaborations: The Interdisciplinary Applications of the National Graphic Design Image Database.
