Gail Rubini
Gail Rubini currently is a member of the art faculty in the design area
at Florida State University. She is a founding Board Member of the Museum
of Art Tallahssee where she has been developing the Online Learning
Environment, an innovative web based experience developed by using interactive
3-D and sound/video transmission technologies, the project will improve
public access of science and art exhibits through the use of high-quality
telecommunication and information technologies. Specifically, the On-Line
Learning Environment will create a virtual Cultural Center with virtual
exhibitions, interactive access to virtual exhibits and people within
the Capital Cultural Center and a template for further virtual tours.
Gail Rubini has been at Florida State University from 1989, where
she was Chair of the Studio Art department from 1989 - 1995. Previously,
she was the Dean of Education at the Center for Media Arts in New
York City from 1981-89. She recently finished a series of exhibitions,
publications and web site entitled: The Future of the Book of the
Future which examined the future forms for the dissemination of information.
Gail will co-present Visual/Human
Interface for Virtual Exhibitions.
