Uta Simmons
Uta Simmons, born 1956, studied art history and philosophy at the Technical
University Berlin (M.A.) with main focus on German landscape painting
and photography of the 19/20th century. From 1990 to 1994 she was working
as an academic assistant writing reports for the preservation of historic
monuments and preparing exhibitions. From 1995 to 1996 she worked as
a library assistant at the documentation center of the Max Planck Institute
of Educational Research in Berlin. 1996 she received a degree as an
Information Specialist at the Institute of Information and Documentation
in Potsdam. Her current interests are digital media in museums and image
databases for historical research.
Uta will co-present Time-Travels
in Virtual Online Landscapes: New Presentation Possibilities with
Online Virtual Reality.
