Workshop: [A16] - Streaming media

This workshop covers all the basics necessary to do live and archived streaming of museum events. It will explore a particular software platform, The Frequency Clock, (http://www.frequencyclock.net) as a complete and open system for the presentation of streaming media, from lectures to artworks. The workshop will cover the basics of streaming media, the practical issues for starting up such a program; case histories from art museums such as Tate Modern and the Walker Art Center, and an overview of the work of the Open Source Streaming Alliance.
