Matthieu Cord received the Ph.D. degree in image processing in 1998 (Université de Cergy-Pontoise, France). After a post-doc position at the ESAT lab (KUL, Belgium), he joined the ETIS lab (Cergy-Pontoise, France). He received the HDR degree and got a full professor position at the LIP6 lab (UPMC, Paris) in 2006. His research interests include Content-Based Image Retrieval and Computer Vision. In CBIR, he focuses on learning-based approaches to visual information retrieval. He developed several interactive systems, to implement, compare and evaluate online relevance feedback strategies for web-based applications and systems dedicated to artwork databases. He is also working on multimedia content analysis. He is involved in several international research projects. He is a member of the Europeannetwork of excellence MUSCLE (Multimedia Understanding through Semantics,Computation and LEarning).
