Hubert Mara received his degree in computer science (Dipl.-Ing.) at the Vienna University of Technology. His research interests are 3D-Vision, Pattern Recognition Image Processing and Databases for eCommerce. He participated in national funded projects related to archaeology with international partners in Peru (German Archaeological Institute), Israel (Weizmann Institute of Science) and Austria (KHM ñ Museum for history of Arts in Vienna, BDA ñ Austrian Heritage Organization, FWF ñ Austrian Science Foundation). During these projects he participated as technician for 3D-acquisiton at three archaeological excavations and one museum. Currently he has a CHRION-fellowship (FP6) at the VAST-Laboratory at PIN, University of Florence. He is member of the AAPR and presented his scientific papers at various international conferences and workshops.

Hubert will demonstrate 3D-Acquisition and Multi-Spectral Readings for Documentation of Polychrome Ceramics in the Antiquities Collection of the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vien. [Demonstration]
