Create Multimedia Applications in One Day

In this workshop you will learn about basic elements of multimedia authoring, interface design and project development. Taking part in a series of hands-on exercises, you will discover how to make things appear, disappear, move and respond to user's input. You will also learn how to make your projects accessible using the World Wide Web. MetaCard, the demonstration authoring tool, allows production of cross-platform applications (both Macintosh and PC compatible), and can also use the scripts from projects created earlier in HyperCard or SuperCard.
By the end of the workshop you will have finished a sample project and will be able to, at least, create a functional working prototype of any project you would like to develop in the future. Although sample project materials will be available for you to use, you are welcome to bring your own materials (digital images, video clips or sound files) and use them instead. No previous programming experience is necessary for this workshop, although previous exposure to computers and multimedia environments is desirable.
