Bonnie Magness-Gardiner is consulting archaeologist for the Cultural Property Advisory Committee. Among more general duties in providing research and technical advice on archaeological matters to the committee, she produces the image database of objects subject to import restrictions under the Convention on Cultural Property Implementation Act. She also manages the International Cultural Property Protection website. Her interest in producing an archaeological image database was stimulated by a two year stint at the Library of Congress working as a program officer for the LC/Ameritech National Digital Library Program. Prior to delving into the digital world, she served as program officer for archaeology projects at the National Endowment for the Humanities and taught archaeology at Bryn Mawr College.
Bonnie presented International Cultural Property Protection and the Web: Implementing the 1970 UNESCO Convention in the U.S.
