Serena Pisani

Serena Pisani graduated in Computer Science from the University of Pisa, Italy, in 1996. Since then she has collaborated with the I.E.I. (Istituto di Elaborazione dell’Informazione) of the C.N.R. (Italian National Research Council) in Pisa, working on Object-Relational Multimedia Databases and Web Applications. From 1996 to 1997, she took part in the CEC-funded ESPRIT Project MIAOW (Marble Industry Advertising Over the World). Since 1997, she participates in the C.N.R. funded Project “Museo Virtuale della Storia dell’Informatica in Italia”. She won a one year C.N.R. research fellowship in May 1999 from the I.E.I. Institute, awarded in the framework of the C.N.R.-G.M.D. agreement for collaboration, on the topic "Indexing and Information Access for Digital Libraries". She has published scientific papers for international conferences in the area of Database and Information Systems.
